At Au Moulin du Pont, every detail contributes to the identity of the place. As part of the continuing evolution of our establishment, we wanted to take the guest experience one step further by giving each of our rooms its own name and story

This new identity is directly inspired by the history of Au Moulin du Pont, its surroundings and the generations who have helped bring this house to life.

Rooms that are more than just numbers

Before the lake transformed the landscape, a mill once stood here. Although it has now disappeared beneath the water, its history remains deeply connected to that of our establishment.

For three generations, the Gindre family has maintained and developed this house with the same ambition: to welcome, to pass on its heritage and to look towards the future.

It is around this history that we have created a new identity for our nine rooms. From now on, behind each door you will discover a name, a symbol and a story of its own.

The idea is simple: to make your stay a genuine journey through the history of Au Moulin du Pont.

Nine rooms, nine stories

The rooms are organised around three main chapters: The Foundations, The Landscape and Time. Each one has its own theme and symbol, connected to the history of the house and its natural environment.

The first chapter, The Foundations, reflects the origins of the site and the family’s heritage:

Le Moulin – Memory, a reference to the mill that stood here before the lake was created.

Le Chêne – Roots, symbolising the connection to the land and the generations that have succeeded one another.

Le Noyer – Memory, evoking what is passed down and remains over time.

The second chapter, The Landscape, celebrates the close relationship between the house, nature and the lake:

L’Aulne – The Shore, marking the boundary between the land of the past and the lake of today.

Le Saule – The Lake, a symbol of time flowing like water.

Le Tilleul – Family, evoking shade, hospitality and shared memories.

Finally, Time opens a new chapter focused on transmission and the future:

Le Hêtre – Transmission, because the story continues from one generation to the next.

Le Bouleau – Renewal, symbolising the new pages that are still being written.

L’Érable – The Future, reminding us that while the roots are old, the future is still ours to shape.

An identity reflected in every detail

This new concept will also be brought to life through dedicated signage for each room.

Each door will feature a timeless plaque displaying the room name, its theme, a botanical or historical emblem and a short evocative phrase. A fine wavy line will subtly recall the presence of the lake and connect all the rooms through one common visual thread.

More than simple signage, this project has been designed as another way of telling the story of Au Moulin du Pont.

Staying in a house with a story

With this new room naming concept, we want the discovery of the establishment to begin from the moment you arrive and continue all the way to your room.

At Au Moulin du Pont, a room will no longer be identified by a number alone: it will become a chapter in the story of the house. It is another way for us to share the identity of this place, its past, its surroundings and the values that have shaped it over several generations.

We look forward to welcoming you and letting you discover this new identity during your next stay at Au Moulin du Pont.
